Keith, his son Jaxon and Elaine had a chance to sneak away to do some elk hunting. They spotted this bull and Jaxon made a few cow calls. The lone bull turned and headed towards them. Keith could not pass on the opportunity at a bull elk with his son along and took the shot. The arrow hit just a tad low.
After persevering on the trail Keith was able to get another shot at the bull and put another arrow right behind the shoulder at 50 yards.
We apologize there is not a better photo of this beautiful bull elk. When Keith finally got him the elk was in a steep draw and Keith was by himself and a solo picture from his cell phone was the best we had.
